What is the Burren Winterage Weekend?

The Burren Winterage Weekend is an annual festival coordinated by  Burrenbeo Trust, a Burren-based national landscape charity . This event is made possible with the voluntary support of local community, the Burren Irish Farmers Association and many individuals donating their time and resources. We are also grateful for the funding support from Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, National Parks and Wildlife Service, Creative Ireland and FBD Insurance.

Burrenbeo Trust a Burren-based national landscape charity. Our mission is to inspire and enable people to take positive action for their places. We do this through education and events in the Burren and through national initiatives such as Farming for Nature, The Hare’s Corner and Heritage Keepers.

Our work in the Burren includes information provision, education, community engagement, active conservation and supporting research on the future sustainable management of the Burren region.
